Working Conditions
Dietitians work regular office hours (8 hours a day, 5 days a week) but many work after hours or on the weekend, if they work at hospitals or private clinics.Dietitians that work from home make their own hours and they usually work from home (emails and phone calls) and they visit their patients at their house. Dietitians do not always work in orderly and quiet surroundings, as their offices are sometimes located near kitchens where food is prepared. The work may involve walking or standing. For the one's that work in research and teaching institutions, hours may be irregular and can include evening classes.
